《看海》项目拍摄于2021年至2024年，与《夜航船》项目同期进行。在这段时间里，我独自生活在南加州的尔湾，经历了生活中的种种挣扎。面对困境，我无数次前往橙县的海岸线，与大海对话，寻找内心的平静和慰藉。作为一个来自中国南方沿海小镇的人，每次站在南加州的海岸上，我都会想象对岸的故乡。这些照片记录了我与大海的静默交流，捕捉了每一次面对广阔海洋时内心的波澜。这不仅是对自然景观的记录，更是对自我探索和心灵疗愈的深刻反思。

See the Sea was photographed between 2021 and 2024, during the same period as the Night Ferry project. Over these three years, I lived alone in Irvine, grappling with the struggles of life. During this challenging time, I frequently visited the coast of Orange County, finding solace and reflection in the vastness of the sea. Coming from a coastal town in southern China, every visit to the Southern California coast evoked a vision of my hometown across the ocean. These photographs capture the silent conversations between me and the ocean, with each visit reflecting my inner turmoil and search for peace. This project is not just a documentation of the coastal landscape but a profound exploration of self-discovery and emotional healing, bridging the gap between distant shores and personal history.
